การอัฟเกรดสเปคของเซิฟเวอร์ที่ใช้งานอยู่ ที่ cloud ของ Rackspace
จะมีขั้นตอนง่ายๆ คือ
เราสามารถเลือก Resize ได้เลยครับ โดยราคาก็จะขึ้นอยู่กับขนาดที่ขยายการใช้งานขึ้นไป
โดยระยะเวลาของ downtime server ก็จะประมาณไม่เกิน 1 ชม ครับ
ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับปริมาณข้อมูลบน server ที่ใช้งานปัจจุบันด้วยนะครับผม
โดยการอัฟเกรดนั้นจะมีขั้นตอนหลักๆ ตามนี้
Below you will find the back end steps that we do for a server resize.
1.) Coalesce your servers VHD's.
2.) Create a new Delta VHD.
3.) Create an image from the original VHD.
4.) Move that Image to a new host
5.) Shutdown your server. < Downtime starts here. ##เครื่องจะถูกปิด เริ่มจากขั้นตอนนี้
6.) Move the Delta VHD to the new host.
7.) Turn on the new server on the new host. < Downtime stops here. เครื่องจะถูกเปิดขึ้นมา เริ่มจากขั้นตอนนี้
8.) Mark the server in a verify_resize action state
